Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Engineer at Generic Healthcare Ltd. located in Kazipara, Mirpur. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for network administration, network engineering, troubleshooting, network security, and network design. You will ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure and support the company’s IT needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in a laboratory or research environment.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and architectures (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and network management tools.
- Familiarity with security practices and tools (VPN, IDS/IPS, etc.), particularly in protecting sensitive research data.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with scientific and technical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Level 1 support (remote/onsite), maintenance and resolution of hardware and software issues related to end- user desktops/laptops, servers, printers and other network issues within the organization.
- Vendor escalation for desktops/laptop hardware purchases, repairs or software troubleshooting.
- Maintain and review IT documentation covering infrastructure, inventory, service subscriptions and contracts. Support, review & liaise with end users on the implementation of an IT governance framework, policies, systems, infrastructure to ensure compliance and alignment to guidelines. Managing and monitoring all installed network appliances, systems, and related infrastructure (cloud and on premise. Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network-related operating systems, application/software/management tools.
- Provide expertise for the overall network systems infrastructure and its supports as it relates to all IT technologies. Ensure 1st level of support for HIS/HER related issues.
- Provide input for annual IT requirements planning and budgeting.
- Involve and conduct regular system audits for IT effectiveness, efficiency and security.
- Liaise with multiple vendors and stakeholders in resolving problems in the rolling out of new applications and ensuring that project delivery is on time. Any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Management.
